Warrensburg Community Theatre is a not-for-profit organization devoted to theatre and the performing arts in the Warrensburg area and Johnson County, Missouri. After a few years of working to organize local theatre performances open to all to participate and attend, organizers sought to establish a not-for-profit organization to make sure community theatre is available and strong in the Warrensburg area. We operate as a traditional community theatre, with auditions open to everyone in the community, and performances open to all. Also, Warrensburg Community Theatre works with local community organizations to provide performances as a part of fund raising activities.
Currently, the group aims for two to three performances throughout the year, varying from murder mystery dinners to variety shows and full play productions. There is no theater building owned or operated by Warrensburg Community Theatre at this time. Most productions are held in community spaces or rented buildings. Donations of space for performances that meet city requirements for public gatherings are very welcome.
